Alison LaFrance, B. Comm
Pastry Chef & Owner
After saying goodbye to her corporate desk job, Alison made the bold step toward turning her passion for baking into a full-time career. Scary? Yes!
Alison graduated at the top of her class as valedictorian in the Baking & Pastry Arts Diploma program at SAIT. During her studies, travels to Italy, Belgium & Austria taught her the importance of technique and using only the freshest & finest quality ingredients. This provided Alison with a foundation for future success.
Building on that foundation led to experiences opening Redwater Grille with Chef Ned Bell as well as the new Sirocco Golf Club with her mentor, Chef Guy Leggatt and consulting Chef Michael Noble.
Alison is also a board member of
the Alberta
Pastry Chef Guild. She is a strong believer in its
goal to advance the Pastry Chef profession as well as to educate the culinary
professionals of tomorrow.
